Tiger Woods’s Incredible Comeback

Tiger Woods’s Incredible Comeback

Alex Lo, Ben Gliklich

At age 19, he had become the best golfer in the world.. That was 23 years ago. If Tiger Woods had retired last year, no one would have cared. However, after falling down in the ranks out of the top 1000, he decided to attempt a comeback. Currently, he is number 13 in the world. This comeback might be the greatest comeback in all of golf history or maybe even sports history. Going into the Tour Championship, Woods, had not won a major PGA Tour since 2013. He finished with a close second place in the PGA Championship, falling short by two strokes against Brooks Koepka. During his hiatus, Tiger had to deal with some major personal problems and severe back pain. He did not know if he would ever be able to play golf at a high level again. As he said a few weeks ago, “Just to be able to compete and play again this year, that’s a hell of a comeback.” Well, he did a lot better than that. A 42 year old golfer making a comeback like that was truly remarkable. But, I guess it’s less of a surprise to us in Boston where we have a 42 year old quarterback…
